Electrocardiography

What is an electrocardiography (ECG) scan?

Electrocardiography is an examination that provides important information about abnormal heart rhythms. This method records and graphically displays the electrical potential of the heart during cardiac activity.

Echocardiography is used to determine the trophic state of the heart muscle, to detect ischaemia (impaired blood supply to a part of the heart), thickening of the heart wall, inflammation of the heart muscle and to identify various abnormalities such as ventricular enlargement, electrolyte imbalance and previous heart damage caused by heart disease or trauma.
