The people of Latvia deserve to live from the heart! Professor Skride Heart Clinic opens

On 15th May, the Professor Skride Heart Clinic will open with its experienced and highly qualified team of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals. The new private clinic will offer a wide range of services to help with a variety of cardiovascular health issues, as well as a personalised approach to each client depending on their needs.

Life expectancy in the Baltics is low. It is the lowest in Latvia, and the main reason for this is heart health. According to the data(1), cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Latvia. Latvia also has the second highest preventable mortality rate in the EU, behind Lithuania.

“Let’s do everything we can to ensure that the average life expectancy of the Latvian population is 7 healthy years longer than it is today,” says Skride.

The new private clinic will offer consultations from a wide range of specialists – cardiologists, heart surgeons, rheumatologists, pulmonologists, endocrinologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists and others. Echocardiography, cycle ergometry and ultrasonography with more modern medical devices are also available, as well as blood tests, 24-hour holter and blood pressure monitoring if needed.
